Loving cowboy life around here! A man is renting our land for awhile to feed his cattle(alfalfa grazing). He brought 30 head and it has been such a joy! Seeing them graze daily and hearing them moo has been pure delight. Even the smell of manure makes me love the country all the more. Ha!
Steven has had the opportunity to help this man install the fencing and herd the cattle. He is a cowboy in the making, and I think Steven would love nothing more than to be outside working like a grown man all the time. Travis (cow guy) was supposed to have helpers to install the hot fence but they were a no show. Steven and Caleb helped him one day install a lot of hot fencing. Today, Travis needed Steve to get the whip and run with it behind the cattle. Sooooo fun watching. Travis calls, "come on girls" and those cows run in a beautiful line after him. Yeeeehaw over here!
Other than that, we got school done today and I have bacon potato chowder simmering on the stove. I love the cold temperatures that lock us inside the house with the wood stove burning up. Life has been super busy our way! Hope you all are well and have a Happy Thanksgiving! Always so much to be thankful for.
